Owning a restaurant was my grandfather's dream back in the early 1940’s when he was a younger man. Seeing the success his uncles had in the restaurant business, Theodore Georges, my grandfather, could not wait to sail to America and start his life here. Born and raised in Greece, my grandfather moved to America in 1958, working for restaurants to gain experience. Then in 1971, my grandfather opened his first Golden Eagle. With the mindset to work to please the customer and his high standards for food, Mr. Georges was ready for success. As a family-run business, the Golden Eagle has stayed in the Georges family for 3 generations. The first Golden Eagle was open in 1971 in Torrance, California, followed by 4 more Golden Eagles in the Los Angeles basin.

The History Behind our Burritos in Signal Hill

Our most recent Restaurant in Signal Hill, CA, the Golden Eagle Signal Hill, opened in 1988. My father and Uncle took over this signal hill restaurant personally and oversaw operations of our other stores after my grandfather died. His spirit and work ethics was passed on to my father and Uncle, who still uphold the belief that the customer is always right. Here at the Golden Eagle, our family felt that giving everything the customer wants, will keep them coming back. At the Golden Eagle, we serve the finest products at the best price because we believe good food can be affordable as well.

Our dedication to our restaurants has not diminished. Come on in and you will see the owners working and ready to take care of you. At the Golden Eagle, from our delicious burritos in Signal Hill to our "Lite and Healthy plates", it is our pleasure to serve you and see your happy faces coming through our doors.
